Integrating data from multiple tribal departments helps Tribes efficiently manage information for tribal services and effectively administer those services. Handel Information Technologies has developed a suite of standard modules and functionality that are designed to seamlessly integrate the information from multiple departments.
RiteTrack’s security model allows tribes to define information that will be shared as well as what will be kept confidential between departments.
This webinar will discuss the benefits of and best practices for developing an integrated system implemented for multiple programs.
Sharing data between departments, through multiple modules, eliminates redundant data entry, empowers staff to be more efficient, and enables comprehensive reporting across all services provided to members.

Catch Up on the Tribal Data Analytics Webcast Recording

Today’s organizations have more data available to them than ever before. Yet, few organizations truly understand how to harness this data and turn it into information and knowledge. Data analytics can be used to create meaningful information out of the wealth of data available. Explore data analytics and how to apply this information through the process of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to create a better picture of programs and improve tribal social services provided to members with us.
During this recording you will learn how analytics translates program data into tangible information. We will examine the distinctions between data, information, and knowledge while incorporating the parts of and processes needed for CQI. You’ll see how this information that came directly from your data can be used to make better decisions, inform policy-making, and, ultimately, provide better services to members.
There are three types of information we will cover: descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive. Descriptive information tells us what happened or is happening with demographics and from community situations. Predictive information tells us what will happen next. Prescriptive information informs us of what we can do to improve situations and outcomes for members.
We’ll examine different types of data models and how they can be used for analysis as well as how to make practical use of this information. The process of analytics involves data becoming descriptive information, then predictive intelligence, which leads to prescriptive knowledge that can be used to inform decisions and changes to improve services and outcomes.
Finally, the philosophy of CQI can be used to both ensure that data is accurately and consistently collected and that it is used as a method to analyze and react to the data. Collecting and analyzing data are critical throughout each step in the process. We will look at applying CQI within an agency to better understand and improve the services provided to members.

So whether you use RiteTrack or a different information system to manage your tribal data, you probably have faced the challenge of needing some specific information that your current system cannot produce. Generating data is a critical piece of providing quality services to members and clients.
You may have received a request from council or administration for a statistical report that wasn’t standard in your system or needed statistics for a grant application that weren’t easily produced. During this demonstration, the founder and Chairman of Handel Information Technologies will share with you powerful techniques to use in Microsoft Excel to extract better information from your current data.
Some of the topics covered in this webinar include:
• Importing data into Excel
• Formatting data tables
• Filtering and sorting data
• Producing powerful data visualizations
• Analyzing data with pivot tables
• Creating “what-if” analyses with solver and data tables
So, the next time somebody asks you for a breakdown of statistics for tribal members that isn’t standard in your system, you will no longer need worry or cringe. After attending this, you can use some of the techniques from this demonstration to fulfill the request.

At Handel, we work with many Tribes who have adopted initiatives to implement integrated software solutions and eliminate data silos between programs. See some examples of integrated systems here, here, and here.
These initiatives can feel daunting or even overwhelming, but the benefits are well worth the effort. There are many potential benefits to integrating data from multiple departments. Sharing this information between programs (as defined by security parameters) helps eliminate redundant data entry, enables staff to work more efficiently, and empowers programs to better deliver services to members and clients.
Register for this recording to learn about the probable benefits, best practices, potential challenges, and real-world examples of successfully integrated systems and elimination of data silos.
