Implementation Overview:

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Mississippi’s only federally recognized Tribe, is a community that has persevered through admirable resilience to keep their culture and nation thriving throughout centuries of opposition. Today, the Tribal population exceeds 11,000 members who come together to maintain the Tribe’s community and enterprises.

Recently, the Tribe has chosen to implement a TANF Program to provide support and assistance to needy families. This program will contribute a variety of assistances so that children can be cared for within their own homes; and ultimately, so that these families can eventually achieve self-sufficiency.

Implementation Objectives:

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has partnered with Handel IT to implement the TANF software solution. This RiteTrack implementation will help ease their program development through accurate and easy data management practices. 1 Family Services in Indian Country (1FSIC) will also be assisting with the administration of this system for Mississippi Band of Choctaw. 1FSIC will be working with tribal leaders, staff, and the community to ensure that the TANF program is successful by providing both administrative and case management services.
