In a continued partnership with Handel, the Cowlitz Indian Tribe implemented a custom developed RiteTrack Module in October 2020 to provide data management for its Healing of the Canoe program. This Module creates a comprehensive case management system for HOC that stores client information, documentation, and notes for working with youth. It also produces necessary reports the program can use for grant-funding or to provide information on the outcomes of the youth in the program.
Cowlitz’s Healing of the Canoe Program provides a space for Native youth and non-Native youth to receive treatment services for substance use. HOC sponsors activities, shares community resources, hosts classes, and holds events for tribal youth.
This is the eighth RiteTrack Module the Tribe has implemented—creating a truly integrated data management solution that many departments use to manage social services for members and non-members. Other Modules in their system include Enrollment, Vocational Rehabilitation, Indian Child Welfare, and Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy.
Integrating data from multiple departments is a unique approach to database management that Handel has long advocated for. We know this approach reduces duplicate data entry and always ensures the information on clients is current for every department or program they have contact with.
