Handel Vice President Speaking at National American Indian Court Judges Association Conference

Handel Information Technologies is proud to announce that Vice President Casey Bader will be presenting at the upcoming National American Indian Court Judges Association Conference being hosted by the Isleta Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, NM. Casey will be presenting along with the National Center for Juvenile Justice on the topics of Data Sovereignty and Integration. Handel is also pleased to be a sponsor of the NAICJA Conference and support the important work of this organization.

Many Tribes have developed separate databases or data “silos” for programs such as Tribal Court, Treatment Services, Indian Child Welfare, Domestic Violence, etc. This is in part because of data security concerns and the applications may have been grown organically under the supervision of different departments and administrators. In most tribes this has resulted in a conglomeration of disassociated applications that do not share data.

This workshop will help attendees decide if their Tribe and/or specific departments could benefit from implementing a software solution that integrates data, department processes, and service applications. Attendees will leave the workshop with more knowledge and awareness of complex, integrated software solution and a pocket reference guide that will help them examine potential benefits, risks, and costs applicable to their situation. With these tools, attendees can initiate conversations within their own Tribal Administrations regarding whether integration is right for the Tribe.

Handel has a long history of working with Tribal Courts individually and as part of integrated systems. In the past years we have also worked with an increasing number of Healing to Wellness Court initiatives that integrate Tribal Court, Indian Child Welfare, and Treatment Services.
