Do All Native Americans Think The Same?
November is Native American Heritage Month. Adopted in 1990, the intent of Indigenous Heritage Month is to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of the indigenous communities in the US and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people.
This video presents a cross section of indigenous viewpoints from people across Turtle Island on a few topics that directly impact their communities and that is also misunderstood or poorly interpreted by non-indigenous people. This video contains some strong language and references missing murdered indigenous people.
Becoming educated and informed is critical to understanding the diverse group that are Indigenous Peoples in North America.
