Technical Structure

RiteTrack is a web-based case management system used by tribes, counties, and states for a variety of social service and judicial programs. It is built on top of the latest web technologies and functions across most platforms that support a web-browser.

RiteTrack Technology Stack

RiteTrack’s entire technology stack relies on the latest HTML 5 specifications, supporting the last two major releases of Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. The RiteTrack framework is written in C# on the latest LTS version of Microsoft’s .NET platform. The back-end database runs on Microsoft SQL Server.  RiteTrack is further enhanced by using a variety of open-source, third-party libraries. By increasing our integration of open-source technologies, RiteTrack leverage the large number of developers around the world that work on these projects.

Some key open source technologies used in RiteTrack include React for our reporting-engine, Typescript for reporting authoring, and Bootstrap for style, just to name a few.

The latest RiteTrack technology stack, our sixth platform in our 25 year history, is our most advanced, powerful, robust, and yet, flexible, to date. We expect this technology to last us well into the next decade. An investment in our current RiteTrack technology stack is likely to outlast many of the other technologies currently used in your organization today.

Deployment Models

Handel offer flexible deployment models that can accommodate your situation.
For most customers, it is sensible to have us host RiteTrack in our data center.
However, if your organization has the required infrastructure in place, we also accommodate so that you can host RiteTrack on your own infrastructure.
For more details as to the RiteTrack hosting requirements, see the section below.

Custom Integrations

Most RiteTrack projects include one ore more custom integrations with other systems. These are quoted on a case-by-case basis.  We have experience with a wide-variety of integrations including time based, or action based data exchanges to/from external sources. These external sources could be http endpoints, databases, or files on disk.

Data Conversions

Changing software can be a stressful process. One way to ease the transition is converting your existing data from one or many sources to start ten steps ahead on your first day of using RiteTrack.
Handel has become an expert in converting data from many different sources. In the past we have converted from Microsoft Access, home grown data systems such as FileMaker, Excel spreadsheets, and enterprise grade systems backed by SQL Server, Oracle, SQL Anywhere, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, and others.
We are also able to merge data from multiple sources to make your new integrated system that much more powerful on day one. All conversions are quoted on a case by case basis and are not included in the base RiteTrack licensing.

Hardware Requirements and Supported Environments

Client Side

The client side requirements for RiteTrack are only limited by the browser and the bandwidth. RiteTrack supports most browsers currently supported on the most common operating systems, including iOS, Mac OS, Windows, Android, and Linux.

Bandwidth Requirements

While RiteTrack will work on connections as slow as 5 MB/s with 75 ms latency, the recommended bandwidth is 20+ MB/s with under 50 ms latency for the best user experience.

Desktop Browser Support

Latest two stable release versions of Edge, Chrome, or FireFox

Mobile Browser Support

Latest two stable release versions of Edge, Chrome, or FireFox

Server Side

If you plan to host RiteTrack in your own infrastructure, these are the server requirements. This example is assuming 50 users accessing the system concurrently. A customer with more or fewer users can expect to adjust accordingly.

Web Server

4 Core 2.4+ ghz

16 GB ram;

Windows Server 2016 +

Web server and database server will need at least 100 MB 20ms latency connection between them.

Database Server

4 Core 2.4+ ghz

32 GB ram;

SQL Server 2016+ Standard or Enterprise edition.
